The client
GCC is one of the world's largest independent medical communications agencies. They have a
significant track-record for developing and delivering tailored medical communication programmes for a broad range of clients.
The need
In September 2001, GCC were managing a large symposium (audience of 2000 people) for a
pharmaceutical client, and they asked TMS to work with three speakers (the Chairman of the Symposium (a Belgian) a German medic and an English research analyst) to help them deliver inspiring and motivational key note
speeches.
The solution
Whilst some time was spent looking at the messages and materials, Catrin focused the majority
of her session on delivery both from a linguistic (two of the speakers were delivering in their second language) and dramatic perspective. After all, it ain't what you say it's the way that you say it!
The results
Here's what one of the speakers said about the day:
I'd like to thank you so much for helping me with my presentation in
Nice. The feed-back I've got was very positive. Thanks to your help I was able to do a good job and therefore I'm very grateful. In those 2 hours you were able to give me so many advices and it was very important to me.
It was also a very good decision to speak free. So I'm looking forward to working with you again. It was a great pleasure to meet you and work with you. Thank you again for everything you've done for me.
And GCC are equally delighted with our work;
"All the speakers were thoroughly pleased with the help you gave them
and they were all very positive following their training. It's a real credit to you. Rest assured our paths will definitely cross again and I'll be asking for you personally." Jackie Richards, Account Executive
